Common questions

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a beneficial compound found in cannabis. It belongs to a class of natural substances called cannabinoids, which are responsible for most of the plant’s effects.  CBD is usually derived from a low-THC variety of cannabis called hemp.

Is CBD safe and legal?

Research has shown that CBD is an exceptionally safe, well-tolerated compound. CBD products are legal in the UK as long as they’re made from EU-approved hemp and contain no more than 1 mg of THC per container. CBD is also legal in most other European countries.

How much CBD should I take?

The right amount of CBD to take is different for everyone. The dosage depends on many variables, like your body weight, genetics, and the reason you’re taking CBD. We recommend starting with a 10-15 mg dose, waiting a few hours, and increasing as needed until you find the amount that gives you the desired effects.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is the most popular way of taking CBD. It contains hemp-derived cannabidiol dissolved in plant oil, such as coconut MCT oil. CBD oil is placed under the tongue to allow for efficient absorption and easy dosing. It’s used as a food supplement by millions of people in the UK and other countries to support their overall health and well-being.

What’s the difference between your full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD oil?

Our CBD oil is available in two formulations: full-spectrum and broad-spectrum. Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other naturally occurring beneficial hemp compounds. These substances work together in synergy, producing greater benefits than CBD on its own — what scientists called the “entourage effect”. Broad-spectrum CBD is the same as full-spectrum but without any THC.

Does CBD make you high?

Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating, which means it cannot get you high.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of cannabinoid receptors, special enzymes, and endocannabinoids made by the body. The ECS regulates brain function, immunity, metabolism, sleep, pain, and many other key processes to maintain a healthy state of balance called homeostasis. CBD can interact with the ECS, producing a variety of beneficial effects.

Do your products have medicinal benefits?

Our CBD products are not intended to treat or cure any disease or condition.

How much CBD is in a pipette dropper?

Our CBD oils come with a pipette dropper for easy dosing. Simply squeeze the rubber and release it to fill. When full, the dropper holds about 1 ml of CBD oil or 20 drops. We offer four CBD oil strengths ranging from 100 mg/ml (5 mg/drop) to 250 mg/ml (12.5 mg/drop).

CBD oil has rapidly grown in popularity over the past several years. However, buying CBD oil in the UK remains tricky.

Although CBD is legal, the British market is completely unregulated. There are plenty of low-quality products, including those that contain little to no CBD, too much THC, or potentially harmful contaminants.

It’s not always easy to tell these subpar products apart from proper, high-quality CBD oil.

The best way to protect yourself is to look for trustworthy brands that provide third-party testing and have nothing to hide.

That’s why Green Factor is completely transparent about its manufacturing process from seed to bottle.

We start out with only the finest organic, non-GMO hemp cultivated in the US and Europe. Next, the raw hemp is extracted using the industry-leading carbon dioxide (CO2) method to produce a whole-plant, CBD-rich extract.

Then, the extract is refined and combined with organic coconut MCT oil and natural flavouring to formulate our broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD oils.

As a final step, all of Green Factor’s CBD products undergo third-party testing to confirm their safety, potency, and consistency. The results of these tests are available right here on our website and can also be accessed with the QR code on your product.
