General Questions
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are natural compounds that can interact with your body’s cannabinoid receptors. Cannabinoids can come from plants (phytocannabinoids) or be made in your body (endocannabinoids). Phytocannabinoids like CBD and THC are responsible for most of the health effects of cannabis.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid from cannabis. Unlike THC, CBD is completely non-intoxicating. CBD is rapidly growing in popularity as a natural wellness product.
What is hemp?
Hemp is a variety of cannabis that contains low THC and high CBD levels. CBD is typically sourced from hemp because it contains too little THC (0.3% or less) to cause mind-altering effects and is legal in the UK and many other places around the world.
Does CBD get you high?
CBD is non-psychotropic, which means it cannot get you high.
Is CBD safe?
According to decades of research, CBD is a generally safe, well-tolerated substance.
Is CBD legal?
CBD is legal in the UK and most other European countries. However, there are some special rules. CBD can only be extracted from EU-approved hemp varieties. Also, CBD products must contain 1 mg or less of THC per container. Lastly, British farmers cannot grow hemp for extracting CBD, which is why most companies source it from mainland Europe.
What is the endocannabinoid system?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays an important role in your overall health. It regulates immunity, stress, sleep, pain, metabolism, brain function, and other essential processes to maintain homeostasis — a state of internal balance. This system consists of endocannabinoids made by your body, special enzymes, and cannabinoid receptors.
How does CBD work?
CBD works in two main ways. It can interact with your endocannabinoid system by reducing the breakdown of the endocannabinoid anandamide. CBD also seems to influence many other parts of the body, such as serotonin, adenosine, and GABA receptors.
How does CBD make you feel?
Most people report feeling calmer and more relaxed after taking CBD.
What is the entourage effect?
The entourage effect is the evidence-based idea that all of the phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and other active compounds in cannabis work in synergy. Put simply, that means cannabis produces the greatest effects when used in its whole-plant form rather than isolated CBD or THC on their own.
What is CBD oil?
CBD oil is a food supplement containing hemp-derived CBD dissolved in plant oil like coconut MCT oil. This oil is placed under your tongue to allow for efficient absorption and easy dosing. CBD oil is used by millions of people in the UK and other countries to support their health.
How does CBD oil differ from hemp oil?
The main difference is that hemp oil is cold-pressed from hemp seeds, which don’t contain CBD or any other cannabinoid. In contrast, CBD oil is made from the flowers and other above-ground parts of hemp, so it will always contain CBD.
What is full-spectrum CBD?
Full-spectrum CBD is a whole-plant extract. It carries all of the phytocannabinoids (including no more than 0.3% THC) and other compounds naturally present in hemp. This includes terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and other active substances. They work in synergy, producing the “entourage effect” that strengthens the beneficial impact of CBD.
What is broad-spectrum CBD?
A whole-plant extract containing all of hemp’s components except for THC, which is typically removed through an additional step in the manufacturing process. Like full-spectrum CBD, this extract makes use of the entourage effect to enhance CBD’s benefits.
What is CBD isolate?
Isolate is pure CBD. It looks like an odourless white powder or crystals that contain over 99% CBD. Isolate can be used in its raw form or formulated into CBD oils and other products. However, it’s considered less effective than whole-plant extracts because it lacks the additional compounds needed for the entourage effect.
Can I give my pet CBD?
Yes, the endocannabinoid system is found in cats, dogs, and many other animals, so they can also benefit from CBD. That’s why we have a dedicated, low-strength CBD oil designed specifically for your four-legged companion.
Product Questions
Do your products have medicinal benefits?
Our CBD products are not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
How much CBD oil is in a pipette dropper?
One full pipette dropper of our CBD oil holds about 1 ml or 20 drops. You can use these numbers to estimate your CBD dose. For example, our 10% CBD oil contains 1000 mg of CBD in a 10 ml bottle, which means 100 mg per ml (full pipette) or about 5 mg per drop.
Where does your hemp come from?
Our CBD products are derived from only the finest, non-GMO, organic hemp cultivated in The United States and Europe.
What CBD extraction process do you use?
We use the carbon dioxide (CO2) CBD extraction method. This method is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly, and is considered the most advanced way to extract CBD and other active ingredients from hemp.
How do I choose the right product for myself?
It depends on your goals and preferences. For most people, full-spectrum CBD oil is the best option. However, if you want to completely avoid THC, you may prefer broad-spectrum CBD tinctures. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for the most convenience and ease of use, gummies are an excellent option. Finally, topical products are the ideal pick for localized concerns.
Are your products third-party tested?
Yes, all of our products are tested in a third-party lab to verify their CBD content and lack of contaminants. You can see the test results directly on our website.
